School Internship Programme Phase ll Weekly Reflection-6 (16/12/2019-20/12/2019)

                   It is the sixth week of my school internship programme phase 2. Everyday, I reached school around 9:20 am and signed the attendance. After the prayer and thought for the day, the examination begins.

                   On this week too examinations are conducting. It was conducted in two sessions. LP classes on the forenoon section and HS classes on the afternoon section. On Wednesday we went to our college and on Thursday, there was a food fest organized in our college. And on friday we celebrated Christmas on college and visited the old age homes nearby.

Overall it was a happy and memorable week.

School Internship Programme Phase ll Weekly Reflection-5 (09/12/2019-13/12/2019)

              It is the fifth week of my school internship programme phase 2. On every week on Mondays and Wednesdays milk was supplied to the students. The second terminal examination was going on for the students in this week.
              On Monday the first day of the week, I had an extra duty at 9 B class. On Tuesday the second terminal examination starts for high school students. On some days I had an extra duty at the classes and I make the students study their exam portions for the next day. On this week I got some chances to invigilate the examination hall. On each days, we make students to get into their classes at 1:15 pm.
Overall this week was a nice one and I got many experiences.

School Internship Programme Phase ll Weekly Reflection-4 (02/12/2019-06/12/2019)

              This was the fourth week of our school internship programme phase ll. This week also there had an assembly on wednesday. On the assembly, the HM announced the dates for christmas exams.
               On this week, the substitution periods are not as much as earlier. Because the free hours will be taken by other teachers for completing their portions before the exams. So we became a little free while comparing the previous weeks and on that time we had done our works.
                On this week I had completed the chapter ‘A day in the country' by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. I prepared all the teaching aids and completed the lesson by using those teaching aids. The story of this chapter is very nice and almost all the students liked the story. I provided further informations regarding the lesson and all the students actively involved in the activity session.
                

School Internship Programme Phase ll Weekly Reflection-3 (25/11/2019-29/11/2019)

                This was the third week of our school internship programme phase ll. On Wednesday there had an assembly at the school ground. On all the days the classes will commence at 9.30 am. Milk was given to all the students on all the Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
               In this week also we got many substitution periods. Controlling the classes during the substitution periods are little bit difficult. I provide some puzzles for the students and it will make them stay silent.
                In the first day of this week, our optional mam came for class observation. On that class I had taken the last lesson plan of the chapter ‘The nightingale and the rose'. I took the lesson with the help of ICT. After observing the class teacher gave feedbacks and suggestions for me.
                 From the next day, that is from tuesday onwards I started the new lesson ‘A day in the country' written by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. I took this lesson with the help of various teaching aids and for that I prepared all the teaching aids like flash cards, word cards, charts, activity cards etc.

School Internship Programme Phase ll Weekly Reflection-2 (18/11/2019-22/11/2019)

                It was the second week of our school internship programme phase ll. In this school on each Wednesday there will be an assembly for all the students and on other days there will be prayer and a thought of the day.

                This week also we got so many substitution periods. The chapter ‘The nightingale and the rose' is a large chapter and I completed that lesson this week. I taught the whole chapter as an ICT based one. Various activities and assignments related to the lesson was also given to the students. All the students actively engaged in the activities done within the class and they responded well to my questions relating the lesson.

                So by this week I almost completed the chapter ‘The nightingale and the rose'. And all the textual activities following the lesson in the text was discussed and completed in the class.

School Internship Programme Phase ll Weekly Reflection-1 (11/11/2019-15/11/2019)

                  Our 4th semester school internship programme started on 11/11/2019. Like the first phase, I got LMS HS, Amaravila for the teaching practice. I got only one class to teach, that is Vlll D. My concerned teacher is Rathimol mam and she is very friendly to all. I had submitted the lesson plans and teaching aids for this week and got signature from my concerned teacher. From the first day onwards I started teaching the lesson ‘The nightingale and the rose'. I taught that lesson with the help of ICT.

                   From first day onwards, we all got substitution periods. There were no other disturbance from the side of students in the first day. But the second day onwards students make noice in the class. I controlled the class as possible as I can. Gradually they became silent and active in the classroom activities.

                    Since I am teaching this chapter with the help of ICT, I didn't need to make other teaching aids like flash card, word cards, activity cards etc. The ICT based class made the students became more interesting and active in the classes. This week I completed almost four lesson plans of the chapter ‘The nightingale and the rose'.
